Cromford Pty Ltd manufactures and distributes polyethylene (PE) film and dampcourse (DPC) for use throughout Australia in applications that include:
Recycled material from both household and industrial sources forms an important input in the production of film and DPC.
In February 2007 Cromford acquired Australian Film and Pipe Manufacturers Pty Ltd (AFP), a manufacturer of plastic pipes as well as polyethylene film. The opportunity to then expand the manufacture of PE pipe from a small base precipitated the purchase of three new pipe lines that have subsequently been commissioned during the 2008 financial year.
AFP is one of only two producers of larger diameter (500mm) plastic pipe and the only manufacturer of PP-R (polypropylene random) in the country.
