Specialist Oncology Property (SOP) was incorporated in May 1998 as a special purpose entity to invest in medical facilities which are on-leased to Specialist Oncology Services (SOS) Pty Limited. SOS provides a high quality specialist medical service through consolidation of successful specialist clinics. This is achieved with an accessible ‘brand’ name in an environment where health care is fragmented and uncoordinated.
SOP owns three properties at Westmead Private Hospital, The Hills Private Hospital and Ashley Lane. These properties which are leased to SOS, are designed for multi-specialist team care.
SOS aims to maximise centralised cost savings in both administration and through increased bargaining power with health organisations, insurance groups and governments.
