CBD Energy Limited is an industrial services group listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. CBD designs, builds, owns and operates renewable energy projects. CBD operates in three divisions:
- Parmac: An air conditioning and mechanical services provider, established in 1994. Parmac works mostly on large construction projects, with the majority of its work in Victoria. Recent projects include several office developments in Melbourne, hospitals and government works.
- Captech: A market leader in manufacturing power factor correction equipment. This is used in commerce and industry to achieve a more effective use of electrical energy. Established in 1990, Captech provides its equipment nationally and exports to Asia.
- Remote Area Power Systems (“RAPS”): License holder and developer of storage technology, the world’s first large scale and low cost energy storage system and co-venture partner with Hydro Tasmania.
CBD Energy’s business strategy is to combine the engineering expertise within its business to expand further in providing and enabling technology for renewable energy.
